What creatures live in our school environment?

This term we are learning about conservation!

First we found out what creatures share our school environment everyday.

We collected a tally of the creatures we observed in four places in our school over a period of three minutes.
We then went back to class and turned our tally graphs into big graphs. We had to come to some conclusions about what the data showed us. Some people were surprised that we did not see many different types of birds.

Mrs Aperahama then asked us how we think our tally charts may have looked if we did this 500 years ago. Our environment has changed so much and many of the birds and creatures that used to live here do not anymore. Sadly many of these are now endangered or have become extinct.
